Asian Honda Motor announces new executives

Bangkok, 31 March 2010 – Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Honda’s Bangkok-based Asia & Oceania Regional Headquarters, has announced the appointment of Mr. Pitak Pruittisarikorn as Director of Asian Honda Motor to succeed Mr. Adisak’s responsibility while Mr. Adisak Rohitasune will be appointed as Executive Advisor to the company, effective on April 1, 2010.  

Mr. Pitak Pruittisarikorn, 46, is currently the Director of Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd.  He has worked for Honda for more than 10 years.  In his new capacity at Asian Honda Motor, Mr. Pitak will be responsible for corporate communications, government relations and corporate social responsibility activities. Meanwhile, he will continue to serve as an Advisor to Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd., supporting the company’s administration, external affairs and media relations.

Mr. Adisak Rohitasune, 60, has been working with Honda for 37 years, most recently as Executive Vice President of Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd.  During his career, Mr. Adisak has been a key driven to Honda Thailand’s remarkable growth. Starting April 1, 2010, Mr. Adisak will assume the position of Executive Advisor to Asian Honda Motor. In his new role, Adisak will also be responsible for supporting business knowledge and advice for the entire Honda Group of Companies in Thailand.

Honda is confident that this management succession will strengthen its operations in Thailand, Asia and Oceania, increasing this area’s importance as a major business base for production, exports and parts supplies in support of Honda’s operations worldwide.
